Bv the last English mail Miss Ethel Carr, of the M’sscs Carr and Horde’s School of Shorthand, received a certificate of mem her ship from the National Society of Shorthand Teachers, England. The candidate in order to pass this examination must possess a thorough knowledge of both the theoretical and practical sides of shorthand, and in addition must have a sound English education.
