The price of bread in both Sydney and Brisbane has been raised by a halfpenny per two-pound loaf. In London it has been raised to sd. The late Mr Alfred Marriott has bequeathed a sum of .£IOO,OOO to the _ Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts. (And Lazarus lies at the gate.)
