THE WHEAT YIELD.
Tho following figures, prepared by tho Department of Agriculture, show the yield of wheat, oats, barley and rye in the Colony. The acreage under corn crops is considerably above that of last year, and the average yield per acre is also much higher, while tho quality is generally i''i Mnl ; Wlmal. - 215,111 acres; total yield, <5,843,7(18 bushels; average, 28 bushels per acre. Oats.---3(14,7 47 acres; 12,2(53,510 bushels ; average 3 4 bushels per acre. Har1ey.—35,35(5 acres; 1,035,702 bushels; average, 29 bushels per acre. Rye.—33o(s acres; 78,1-21 bushels; average, 23 bushels per acre. Tho yield of the other crops will lie obtained as soon as threshing has fairly begun.
