The Ladies' pages of the N.Z. Mail are now edited by "Aunt Ellen," who will be most happy to receive from, her many readers any items of interest on dresses, fashions, household hints, cookery, artistio work, the management of children, gOEsip, or other topics. Under the heading " Answers to Correspondents " " Aunt Ellen" will endeavour week after week to answer any inquiries which might be made. ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS. " Vanity ."— l am sorry that you still have such trouble, but the symptoms which you mention make me think it -would bo better for you to spend 7s 6d in expert medical advice. There is evidently some deeper cause than mere indigestion. •'' Neram." —"We are sorry to say that, after due consideration, we cannot use your sketch of a Maori Ball. The fact is that would have to be almost entirely rewritten. Perhaps after a little more practice your literary efforts might be acceptable, but at present the style is too involved. This is a pity, as the matter is good. The fault lies in composition.
