The result of an analysis of four samples of vinegar, made at the instance of the Town Clerk, is that they have been found to be of the legal strength. The sale of Mr J. M. Nairn's collection of oil paintings and water-colour sketches attracted a representative audience at Thomas' Hall on Wednesday week. The whole of the pictures submitted by Mr Haybittlo (on behalf of Messrs George Thomas and Co.) found buyers.
