Fraser reported at the meeting of the Trustees yesterday morning that the nurses had decided in favour of being called by their Christian names. In future, therefore, the head nurses will be known as “ Sister Alice ” or “ Sister Mary,” as tlie case may be. Mr L. L. Harris said he supposed the male attendants would be called “ Brother.” The Chairman : And the matron “ Mother,” and the doctor “Father John.” The Chairman said it was something for the nurses to endeavour to struggle for. Mr G. Allen said the whole thing was “ bunkum.”
