The proposed new road from Kaiwarra through Crofton to Khandallah is to have a grade of only 1 in 23, and will become one of the main routes from Wellington to Jolinsonville. At a meeting at Khandallah, > it was decided to request the Government j to assist the Borough of Onslow by having an independent survey made, and the meeting also empowered the Borough Council to take the preliminary steps for raising a loan of .£2OOO, the rate for paying the interest not to exceed -£d in the pound. The New Zealand Pharmacy Board have requested the Government to agree to the introduction of a Bill next session embodying several amendments in the Pharmacy Act. The matter will be considered in Cabinet.
