A.M.P SOCIETY.
Sydney, May 10. At the annual meeting of the A.M.P. Society the report was adopted, and general satisfaction expressed at the progress madel The Chairman said that though the new business was nearly, £50,000 less than the previous year, still it was close upon three millions sterling. He pointed out that nearly every other office in Australia was losing business in recent years, but they never had a decrease on the total volume of business in force. Notwithstanding that they had had to grant concessions to their constituents, still they were obtaining the highest rates on investments of any life office in Australasia. The Society, he said, continued the policy of rigorous investigation of investments, and the utmost economy was exercised. There was every indication of a revival of prosperity in the colonies, and he was hopeful that there would be a satisfactory increase • in the business of the Society.
