BANKRUPTCY.
A meeting of the creditors of Nicholas Grevas, labourer, was to have been held on Friday afternoon, but only one creditor attended. Mr Young appeared for Mr Christie. Debtor and his wife gave some evidence. Melbourne, May 8. Charles Fisher, of St. Kilda, grazier, has filed his petition in bankruptcy. His liabilities amount to <£l,4-77,000, and his assets are estimated to produce <£786,000. He attributes his failure to the depreciation in property values.
