During last month 1919 persons arrived in the Colony, and 2370 departed, the excess of departures over arrivals being therefore 451. The figures for March, 1894, were : —Arrivals, 2389 ; departures, 3115, showing a loss of 726. For the March qixarter of the present year the arrivals exceeded the departures by 426. The man Bloomfield, who mysteriously disappeared* from the steamer Waihi during the passage from Blenheim to this port, it seems has no relations in Blenheim, nor in any other part of the Colony as far as can be ascertained.
