Bishop Wallis has arrived here on his first visit to Palmerston. He preaches this evening at All Saints’ Church, ana an informal reception is to he held in the schoolroom.
The Manawatu Land Drainage Board has passed the following resolution: —“That the Board do not take steps to assume control of the drains in the district until the case Grant v. the Manawatu Road Board has been finally settled.” The law p6ifits involved in this case are to be Argiiecl'in Wellington. *' Mr G,.
