WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.

Pahiatua, March 8. A meeting of the Land Board was held at Mangatainoka yesterday to enquire into the circumstances attending the forfeiture of John Walthers’ section, and as to whether Geo. Walthers had fulfilled the conditions. There were present —Messrs Baker (Commissioner), Hogg, Pirani, Fitzherbert and Fisher. After hearing evidence, the Board resolved to uphold the cancellation of John Walthers’ interest, as the residential conditions had not been complied with, and to offer the sections weighted with the improvements. With regard to Geo. Walthers’ case, the Board resolved to take no further action.
