WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.
Nelson, March 11. - The Wesleyan - Conference passed unanimously a resolution expressing gratification at therenewed interest throughout the Colony concerning the use of a scripture text-book in the State schools, and its conviction that the introduction of Scripture lessons in our public schools is urgently called for, and pledging itself to co-operate with other churches in endeavouring to bring about such a change. The Conference passed a resolution in favour of the abolition of the drink traffic.
