For the month of September the returns show the number of estates placed under the management of the Public Trustee to have been 21. Among those of the wealthier class may bo mentioned the estates of G. MacKilligan, of Lyttelton, £1350 ; Mary Ilarding, of Auckland, £IOOO ; Charles Dahl, of Wellington, who was drowned whilst returning to a coal hulk, £700; Andrew Heavey, Auckland, £500; Ada Gibson, Wellington, £SOO ; .Tano Westfield, Wellington, £250, and Lawrence Morrison, of Dunedin, £125.
