A vegetablo marrow story of a steep kind is being piloted about Keofton. Coming from that part of tho world it must, of course, be accepted. Two men word flooded out of their hut, and standing up to their waists in water they noticed a large marrow that they had grown floating like a cork. The vegetable was 12 feet long, and mounting it, they split it in two, and with the aid of the canoes thus formed woro able to tow 50 feet logs off the clearing next morning. Mr F. Brady, of Pahiatua, has written to the Westport Borough Council, offeiing a plan of the Westport Harbour for sale. He purchased a tin case at auction containing tho plan, but tho package was mislaid after the Dunedin Exhibition. It was resolved to ask for further particulars,
