NELSON v. WELLINGTON. Nelson, April 23. The bowling match Wellington v. Nelson commenced at half-past one to-day, the arrangement being to play till five. Three rinks were engaged, and at half-time the scores stood just level. About four, light showers fell, and play was stopped for a quarter of an hour, when the weather cleared again. At that time the scores were —Nelson, 72 ; Wellington, 56. After resuming, Wellington pulled up on two rinks, but the game ended in a victory for Nelson by 80 to 71. The following are the scores : No. 1 Rink. —Nelson—Redgrave, Rout, Gannaway, Preshaw (skip), 30. Wellington —King, McLean, J. Brown. A. Scoullar (skip), 27.
