NOTES.

BY FANCIER. Last Monday (St George's Day) Fancier, whilst out yachting (on board the Pearl), got into difficulties oft Soames' laland and hid to put in there for repairs. He took advantage of the occasion to have a look at the dogs in quarantine. Mr Kebbell's Newmarket Ruff has shed nearly all his coat, bub his new coat is coming on very well, otherwise he was the picture of health. Mr Rogea's Newmarket Faith has shed all her coat and consequently was not looking as pretty as usual, but she seemed very healthy. The black, tan, and w> ite bi-ch of Mrßogen's, is the one that has improved most of all. Her ear* are well carried (she is no longer the prick fared bitch we first of all reported h*>r) and her coat is much better. Faith's litter of pMppiea made a perfect picture, And we noticed some "clinki'S* among them Wo Inar that Mr R«»gen has already sold some of them to AuntraLan purchasers. Mr Aitcheson deserves more than a word of praise for the care he takes of the dogs, and Faith's litter of nine puppies (now about six weeks old) all in perfect health and looking very happy, reflect great credit on the care Mrs Aitcheson takes of them. By the way, it should be mentioned that Fancier and the others who were with him on the yacht wish to thank Mr and Mrs Aitcheson for tho great kindness shown them when they were in distress. • Mr A. B. Clater's sable aßd white collie bitch whelped a nice litter to Mr Grogan's Rollo. We hear that the whole of the litter has been sold, we certainly have to congratulate Mr Olater on his disposing of the whole litter so quickly.
