The manager of the Waihi Gold Mining Company reports the yield for the past 37 days as £4718, for which 2013 tons wore orußhed.
Dunedin, February 18. The Dunedin Gold Dredging Company obtained 31oz of gold tbia week. Westport, February 18. The Westport Coal Company ahipped 4380 tons of coat this week. Greymouth, February 19, The preparatory work for opening up the Blackball Coalmine is going on vigorously. The ooal shipped for the week was 1093 tons. The bar was closed by a heavy sea for a couple of days.
Reefton, February 19. The gold returne for the week are Globe, 119 oz of amalgam from 190 tons ; Cumberland, 2060 z of amalgam from 100 tons ; Alpine, 3070 z of amalgam from 402 tone.
