THE New Zealand Mail PUBLISHED WEEKLY. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1893. IMPORTANT NOTICE.

The proprietors of the Mail have great pleasure in informing the readers of this journal that they have purchased at very great expense the sole rights of publication for the North Island of the charming new story by that eminent writer, Robert Louis Stevenson, entitled, ‘The Surprising Adventures by Sea and Lind of David Balfour.’ Mr Stevenson’s previous stories ‘Kidnapped,’ ‘Treasure Island,’ ‘ The New Arabian Nights,’ and. ‘ The Master of Ballautrae ’ aro so well and favourably known that there is little need for us to say more than that Mr Stevenson’s new work, so we are assured by a leading English critic, is fully equal in dramatic interest to any of its predecessors, and will still further increase the great literary fame of its distinguished author. The publication of the novel will commence at an early date, due notice of which will be given.
