Bowling.

There was only a moderate attendance at the Wellington Bowling Club’s ground on Saturday last. The weather was simply perfect, and the green is in excellent trim, several capital heads being compiled. The scores of the various games are as under : Rink No. 1. The above-named skips are requested to get their teams together for practice as often as possible during the week ; also to have their men on hand sharp to time on Saturday. (per press association.) New Plymguth, April 15. The bowling match, Nelson v. New Plymouth, two rinks, commenced at 2 o’clock, 25 heads up. The players are : No. 1 rink—New Plymouth—Davis, Sanderson, Veale, Morey (skip); Nelson—Hankinson. Buttle. Kemptfaorne, Lyell (skip). No. 2 rink—New Plymourh—Jury, Goldwater, Jones, Paul (skip) ; Nelson Edwards, Ledger, Trask, Winton (skip). Later. The bowling match, Nelson v. New Plymouth, resulted in a win for the local team by 34 points. Soores : New Plymouth—No. 1 rink, 48; No. 2 rink, 21; total, 69. Nelson—No. 1 rink (Lyell skip), 16 j No. 2 rink (Winton skip), 19 ; total, 35. The visitors were entertained to-night by Mr Samuel, President of the local Bowling Club.
