By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. TWO WOMEN BRUTALLY MURDERED. (per press association.) Hobart, April 14. A horrible murder is reported from Sandy Bay. A man named Quamby, in a fit of jealousy, cut off the head of a widow named Davidson with a carving knife, and then inflicted serious wounds on himself, which it is believed will prove fatal. The murder is surrounded with peculiar circumstances. Sydney, April 13. A woman named Dalton was battered to death with a branding iron at Surrey Hills (a quarter of Sydney). The body was terribly mutilated. Her husband is suspected.
