STOCK SALES. Christchurch, January 2. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report (per Mr E. G. Sfcaveley) as follows At Addington yards to-day there were full entries of stock. There were about 8000 sheep. Cattle market. Fat cattle declined ; bullocks, L 5 10s to L 8 • cowa and heifers, L 4 10s to L 6; beef, 15s to 18s per 1001 b. Sheep—There was a brisk demand for fat lambs prime, 9s to 11s : ordinary, 6s 6d to la 6d ; prime croßSbred wethers, 10s6d to 12a 6d ; medium, 9s to 10a ; merino wethers, 6s to 8s 3d ; inferior crossbreds, 6s 6d to 8s; mutton, prime, 2d per lb. Store cattle were quiet. Pigs sola well. KAYE AND CARTER’S WEEKLY REPORT OF THE CHRISTCHURCH GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKET. Wheat—Tuscan, 4s 6d; Pearl, 4s 4d ; Hunter’s, 4s 4d. Fowlwheat Good whole, 4s; broken, 3s 9d. Oats— Milling, 3s Sd ; bright short, 3s 7d j good short, 3s 6d; duns, 3s 6d; black, Js 6d ; Danish, 3s 4d. Barley Prime malting, 4s 6d; feed, 2s 9d; Cape, 3a 3d; pearl, £2O. Peas—Prussian blues, 3s 6d; split, £l4. Beans—Good whole, 3s 6d ; medium, 3s 6d. Flour—Roller, £l2 ; stone, £ll. Bran, 100 s; sharps, 95s ; pollard, 90s. Oatmeal (in 25's), £2O; In 78, £22 10s. Ryecorn, 3s 9d—Linseed, £l4 10s. Ryegrass—Machine dressed, 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; Cocksfoot— Heavy dressed, 3£d ; medium, 3id; seconds, Id to 2d. Oatsheaf chaff £5. Hay (baled), £4 .17b 6d. Butter, 10d, Cheese—Loaf, 6£d ; medium, 6d, Hams, 9.1 ; bacon, 7§d ; H and B, BJd. Lard (in bladders), 41d. The above prices current are all f.o. b., Lyttelton ; sacks and packages extra except when otherwise specified.
