Papa’s Cards.

[Communicated by a 10-year-old a ire ] I’ll tell you papa’s hand at cards ;

A flush he claims to hold. I am the ** Ten of Trumps," he says— Yon see I’m ten years old.

Next a boy with bright, fare face, Its tenderness bat veiling power. That is Haivy, and I know Pupa counts him the •• Bight Bower ” Then comes Charley, with brown eyos. Mischievous, saucy and brave ; Papa calls him the “ Deuce,’' but I Think he’s only a sort of a “ Knave.” Next, stout Willie, with eyes of blue, And hair like yellow ochre, If you heard his laugh and hullaballo Yould never doubt was the Jolter. And last, the dainty Lady Jane— She’d take the honours at whist, For the sly little girl, though only four months, Has all our hearts in her fist. Ebie.
