Legislative Council, Tuesday Jan. 11, 1842* —We have been (however reluctantly,) on account of the press of Government Printing, obliged to withhold an interesting report of the after proceedings of the Legislative Council of to-day, upon the “ Muni cipal Corporation Bill, for allowing Foreign Vessels which licve been accustomed to frequent New Zealand, for supplies, free of Port Dues, &c., the erection of Light Houses; also consideration upon the Conveyancing Bid, which latter is to be further considered at 12 a. rn to-morrow, However, we intend to f give the full particulars in our paper of Saturday. Church op St. Paul. —We have just seen a Circular letter signed by the Trustees of the Church, calling on those members and friends of the Church of England, who may purpose to aid in the erection of the Metropolitan Church, to forward their contributions with the least possible delay. We have no doubt they will do so as the Trustees wish to get the Church finished as soon as possible and withont the funds are paid up it. is impossible for the good work to proceed,
