HAMILTON, Monday Prospects for the coming swimming season at Hamilton appear to be bright and it is probable that there will be greater numerical strength than during the past few seasons. The South Auckland Centre governs the largest area of any administrative body of the sport in New Zealand. Although the men's classes havo suffered during the war through members being on active service, the strength and progress of the centre were indicated last February, when, at the junior, intermediate and women's championships, six records were broken. The opening of tho municipal baths has been delayed on account of the resignation of the caretaker, but it is hoped that they will be opened within the next two weeks. Huntly swimmers will benefit from the new tepid pool which has been formed in that town. This will result in a much longer season than is possible at the present time in Hamilton.
