AUCKLAND EXCHANGE MARKET ACTIVE AND FIRM Inquiries tor Government stock covered a wide range on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, with little alteration in values. Debentures of the Auckland Harbour Board and the Hamilton Borough Council were quoted at substantial premiums. Recent easing in insurances continued and South British sold at a further reduction. Australian leaders were in good demand and Tooths Breweries changed hands '2s up at tils Gd, the highest realisation in recent yearn and comparing with tho ceiling price of oGs in Sydney.

The accounts of the Commercial Banking Co of Sydney for the year ended June 30 show a net profit of £370,822, compared with £374.008 in the previous year and £3i7,102 in 11)12. WOOLWORTHS PROPERTIES The accounts of Woolworths Properties (Svdnev) for the year ended June 30 show a net profit of £17,004. compared with £10,703 last year and £77,534 in 1042. Preferred ordinary dividend at 0 per cent amounts to £35,003. Ordinary dividend, the first for threo years, is £<>ooo. Paid ordinary capital, which is held by Wool fort lis, Ltd., is £12.507. MINING YIELDS Slab Hut (West Coast). —Week ended August 5. 70oz, 22.500yd5, 130 hours DIVIDEND DECLARED ,T J. Xiven and Company (Wellington) will recommend at the annual meeting on September 7 a dividend of 10d a share (unchanged). DAIRY PRODUCTION The Oruni-Fairhurn Dairy Company's output, for the past season was 410 tons of butter, being 30 tons more than that of the previous season. The number of suppliers has decreased from 152 lo 142. Including the farm costs allowance, the payment to suppliers will, with Ihe deferred payment, added, be 17.007 d per lb butter-fat, as compared with 15.77(1 for Ihe previous season. The average grade of buttor manufactured was !)3. IS. The season's output of Ihe Kailieke Dairy Company was 521 tons Ocwt, a decrease of 00 tons, attributed to shortage of labour and fertilisers and a dry spell in December and January. The average payout over all grades of butter-fat will be KI.OKSd per lb. For the previous season Ihe payout was 15.107 d per lb. The average grade of buller was 02.81 points, compared with 03.01.
