HAMBROOK-POLGLASE
A morning wedding celebrated on November 25 at the Church of Epiphany, I'akaka, Nelson, was that of Miss Sylvia Kllen Polgln.se, only daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Polglase, of Wabarna. to Leading-Aircraftman Cedric Harold Hambrook, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. H. J. Hambrook, of I'akaka. The Rev. R. C. Nicholson officiated and Mrs. L. V. Page was at the organ. . The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely trained gown of white embossed silk boucle, cut on slim-fitting lines. Her embroidered t"'le veil, forming a second train,_ was held in place by a topknot of tiny velvet arum lilies,* and she carried a sheaf of arum lilies. The bridegroom's sister. Miss Norma Hambrook, was bridesmaid mid wore a deep pink figured taffeta frock, with a heart-shaped neckline, niched bodice and flared skirt. Tier pink •Juliet cap of velvet flowers held In place a short pink veil, and she carried a sheaf of shaded pink roses and maidenhair fern. The best man was Mr R. Farmery, of Wellington. The reception after the ceremony was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Takaka.
