ONEHUNGA WEDDING

HUNTER—KELLY The marriage of Miss Jean Kelly, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P, Kelly, of Onehunga, to Mr. John Griffin Hunter, of Sandringham, formerly of the Second N.Z.E.F., took place on December 18 at the Church of the Assumption, Onehunga. The Rev. Monsignor Cahill officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely trained frock of cream georgette and lace, with a pleated bodice and bell sleeves. A coronet of orange blossom held her veil in place, and she carried a sheaf of dahlias and Christmas lilies. Her cousin. Mrs. W. S. McFarlane, who was matron of honour, and Miss Ruth Bicknell, as bridesmaid, were frocked alike in eau de nil taffeta, trimmed with rosebuds, and wore heart-shaped halos to match. Their bouquets were of pink carnations and dahlias. The best man was Mr. J. Stoddart, and the bridegroom's brother, Mr. E. Hunter, was groomsman. The reception after the ceremony was held at St. Mary's Hall, the bride's mother receiving in a black ensemble and hat to match.
