NAVAL WEDDING

CONNOLLY—NOTON The marriage of Miss Eileen Molly Noton, younger daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Robert Noton, of Auckland, to Lieutenant-Commander Phillip George Connolly, D.S.C., V.D., M.P., Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve, only son of the late Mr. Hugh B. Connolly, of Central Otago, and the late Mrs. T. S. Crawford, of Dunedin, took place yesterday morning at All Saints' Church, Ponsonby. The Rev. W. Averill officiated. The wedding was a quiet one and there were no guests at the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with the bridegroom, wore a frock of dull powder-blue crepe with a matching veiled toque, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The matron of honour, Mrs. Eric Millar, wore a light beige frock, anpliqued in rich brown on collar and pockets, and a thrown hat to match. She carried a shear of red roses. Pay-master-Lieutenant Bill Mitchell, of Wellington, was best man. After the ceremony an informal buffet luncheon was held at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. A. H. Court, Sarsfield Street, Heme Bay. The bridegroom is the new Labour member for Dunedin West.
