Mr. J. Stanton returned 1 , from Well, ington* on Saturday. Mr. Justice Blair was a passenger for the south last night. Professor T. D. J. Lesfh left for Wellington last night. Mr. C. H. Benney, UncUr-Secretary for Mines, is at the Station Hotel. Mr. F. G. Farrell, president of the Automobile Association (Auckland), and Mr. A. Grayson, president of the North Island Motor Union, returned from Wellington yesterday. Mr. W. Hudson Fish, managingdirector of Qantas Airways, and Mr. A. E. Rudder, a director of British Overseas Airways, arrived from Australia by air on Saturday. They were met by Group Captain E. G. Olson. D.5.0., R.N.Z.A.F. THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL His Excellency the Governor-General) Sir Cyril Newall, arrived in Auckland yesterday morning and attended matins in St. Mary's Cathedral. His Excellency left this morning for the north, aml'lntends to return to Auckland on ; Thursday.
