AMATEUR BOXING SUBURBAN TOURNAMENT The all-amateur suburban boxing tourney held last evening at the Newmarket Municipal Hall, under the control of the Auckland Boxing Association, drew a crowded house. Keen contests marked most of the bouts, and, in spite of the fact that many of the contestants were nijvices, a fair knowledge of ringcraft was displayed. The light-heavy-weight contest between A. Jackson and "W. Holt was a fast- and clever contest, Jackson gaining the verdict by a narrow margin of points. Results: — Bantam-weight.—C. F. Sargent, 8.3, beat Sutton. 5.3.
