RAIN AT WHANGAREI
HEAVIEST FOR MONTHS (0.C.) WHANGAREI, Thursday The heaviest rain in Whangarei for many months has fallen during the last 36 hours, the total being 3.74 in., of which 3in. fell during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. to-day. The ground has been dry enough to soak up the rain and the little flooding did no damage. Conditions remain humid and the sky is overcast, although there has been no rain during the day.
