Let us all work and fight together, ]f>t us he as one in cheerful confidence, and the power of the nation will he focussed to its utmost vigour. Every good citizen will refrain from words and acts which lead to dissension and create ill-will. He will try to be self-reliant patient about shortcomings due to the war .As we go about our daily affairs we aH have a wartime duty—to be efficient and to behave as good citizens. Those of us who enjoy a friendly gathering at a hotel should exercise moderation. In entertaining our friends —and especially men in uniform—wo should remember the regulations relating to the use and sale of alcoholic beverages. To trespass against the law or to drink to excess is a blow at good citizenship and is likely to arouse criticism and dispute. ~:,., The freedom to drink alcoholic beverages is a privilege that exists by -irtue of the majority opinion of our people .Good things deserve respect and should be used with moderation.
