RATINGS DROWNED
OPENING OF THE INQUEST An inquest into the deaths of two naval ratings whose bodies were recovered from the Auckland Harbournear Devonport, on Monday, has been opened and adjourned by the coroner, Mr. F, K. Hunt. The men were:— Able-Seaman John William Bartlett, aged 48, married, whose wife lives in Newton Road, Auckland; and Stoker Alexander Hugh Graham, aged 26, single, whose father lives at 11 Baker Street, Caversham, Dunedin.
