DUNEDIN HOUSE SALES

The demand for house properties in Dunedin has increased so much in recent months that many houses which had been on the market for long periods, and had* for various reasons Seen regarded as unsaleable, have now changed hands. Almost without exception, real estate agents .have experienced a boom in sales over the past few months. The president of the Real Estate Institute, Mr. Alan Macdonald, said that one (if the reasons for the increased number of sales was that many working men were now receiving higher wages, and could afford to buy houses. Another reason was that money was readily available for mortgage purposes, particularly first mortgages.
