INCREASE IN WAGES
EFFECT ON DAIRY FARMING <O.C.) HAMILTON, Tuesday The effect on the dairy farming community of the recent increase in wages ordered bv the Arbitration Court was discussed by the South Auckland Dairy Association to-day,, and a resolution was passed that, in view of the increase in all wages, and of other increases in costs accrued since 1938, the Dairy Industry Council be asked to make urgent representations to the Government for an immediate increase in the guaranteed price, and, failing a satisfactory reply, to call a Dominion conference of the industry to discuss the matter.
