GIANT PANDA AS GIFT

RANGOON, Dec. 31 A recent traveller through Burma from China was a giant Panda, just five months old and weighing between 451b. and 601b. It was a gift from Madame Chiang Kai-shek to the New York Zoo in appreciation of the help rendered by the United States to the China Relief Committee.
