MISSING AEROPLANE
CUSHION FOUND ON BEACH (0.C.) CHRISTCHURCH; Monday A cushion from the Royal New Zealand Air Force aeroplane in which Leading-Aircraftmen D. H. McKcnzie and J. T. Villcrs were lost has been found on a beach in the north, and a further search of the area is being made. This advice has been received by Mr. J. R. McKcnzie, of Christchurch, father of Leading-Aircraftman McKenzie, from the officer commanding the aerodrome concerned. The machine was reported missing on January 21, and Mr. McKenzie subsequently offered a reward of £3OOO for the discovery alive of either of the two occupants, and £IOOO for the discovery of the wrecked machine.
