AUCKLAND EXCHANGE
MARKET HOLDS WELL
Business was activO on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, when market values held well in the face of the war .situation. Support for Australian stocks tended to drift, but interest quickened in some issues before the close of the day. Kaiapoi Woollens provided the only gain in the day's transactions, moving up 9d 011 November levels. The first business in Bank of New South Wales since December 3 showed a loss of 17s 6d. Owing to the forthcoming revision of banking hours the Exchange has decided to hold each of the three daily calls a quarter of an. hour earlier than the normal practice.
