(0.C.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday The retirement of Mr. T. H. Langford, Labour Party candidate, as a contestant for the Riccnrton electorate has been announced. Mr. Langford has recently had a severe illness and although lie is now making good progress bo said to-dav that his doctors would not allow him to fight an election. The Riocarton Labour Representation Commiifce met on Monday evening to consider further nominations. Xo official announcement has yet been made, but it is believed that only one name, that of Mr. B. .T. McKenna, was submitted. The secretary, Mr. •»• Biggs, said it would probably be » week before the new candidate coma be announced.
