AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY

The annual statistics.of the Auckland Presbytery, reported to the presbytery last night by Mr. J. Ilitt. showed that the estimated total of persons under pastoral care had declined by 2400 to 19,135. hut the average church attendance had increased by 100 to 7921 and the membership roll" by 95 to 5600. Church debt had been" reduced by £3328 to £13.735. The total revenue for the year was £"29.600. or £5851 less than last year. A call from St. David's. Petone, to the Rev. K. H. Evans, of Mahurangi, was sustained. Mr. Evans lias accepted the call. Reporting on the presbytery's social service work, the Rev. T. Halliday said it was hoped later to place before presbytery a proposal for an old people's homo in Auckland.
