ATI 0 N {by telf.gr/. rH—press association] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Concern that key men required by stud breeders for the maintenance of j their ilocks were being taken for military service was expressed at the annual meeting of the New Zealand | Romney Marsh Sheep Breeders' Asso-j ciation in Wellington to-day. It was decided to ask the authorities to direct! all manpower committees to consider 1 carefully all applications from stud breeders before directing that key men should undertake military service. It was also decided to ask other breed societies to support the request. The question whether stud breeders should ask the Government for a special allowance of fertiliser under the rationing scheme was discussed. It was decided to take no action. Championship shields were allocated as follows for the coming show season: North Island sprint; shields, \\ airarapa and Kast Coast: North Island autumn shields, Masterton; South Island shields. Gore; Wheeler Memorial Shield, Poverty Bay. The followiim officers were elected: —President. Mr. A. S. Murray iMostriel); honorary treasurer, .Mr. K. \V. Matthews (Featherston) ; auditors, Messrs. K. S. (! leiutinning and J. Corpe; to fill five vacancies on the council, Messrs. ,T. (1. Donald (Featherslon), A. E. Hardin? (Parpuville). A. S. Holms (Wnimalaha), 0. E. Allen (Masterton). S. P Moslcy (Clydevale).
