BEGINNING THE DAY

(Supplied by tho Council of Christian Congregations) Text.—Nevertheless, not what I will but what thou wilt. Mark, xiv.: 36. Prayer.—O Lord our God, help us to remember when wo come to Thee that Thou art all wisdom, righteousness and love. Too often when wo approach Thee we expect our prayers to be answered in accordance with our own designs and plans. May we learn to trust Thee more unreservedly and to realise that what is Thy will is best for us. Help us in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, to let our requests be made known unto Thee and to trust Thee to answer according to Thine own loving heart. Let us learn in everything to submit to the Divine will even as Christ our Saviour did. Amen.
