SMOKING ON TRAINS
Sir, —This is a day when the rights of the individual are being restricted in many ways, hut I want to draw attention to the disregard which is being paid to the rights ol non-smokers travelling on our trains. Non-smokers may he in the minority nowadays, hut so also are "non-smoking" carriages on our 1 rains.
In spite ol tho fact that usually there is only one noii-sinoking carriage on a train, it is practically impossible to travel in such a carriage without finding thai some smoker or smokers occupy a seat or seals and "lighl up" without any regard for the feelings of fellow passengers. My health is such that I cannot stand the tunics ol tobacco smoke and. although I reserve a seat in a non-smoking carriage, .I find I have to put up with the smell ol tobacco. Non-smok Kit.
