BOLD STEP PREVAILS SHANI WINS HACK CUP [bt telegraph—press association] WAIROA, Saturday The Wairoa Racing Club's annual meeting was concluded to-day in perfect weather. There was a large attendance and the course was in splendid order. The fotalisator handled £13.120, against £11,350 10s for the final day last year, an increase of £170!) 10s. The total investments for the meeting were £22,254, compared with £20,4 15 last year, an increase of £IBOO. Half the profits for the meeting will bo donated to the All Purposes Appeal.
