Reporting at a meeting of Red Cross non-commissioned officers in charge of emergency first aid posts, the controller, Mr. («. T. Paterson, said that splendid progress was being made with the staff and equipment. A recent I trial held in the North Shore areas had ! proved very successful, and it was proj posed to have a similar test in the city | posts in the near future. | Mr. Paterson said that owing to tho j number of men volunteering for over- ! seas service, there were still a number | of vacancies for male personnel to staff j these posts.
