"MOTHER'S PRAYER"
IT WAS ANSWERED The unannounced and unexpected arrival home from England recently of her 10-yofti-old soldier son, John, was attributed by Mrs. 1). I). Tolmie, of Lindsay, Ontario, to a "mothers prayer," but it has been learned that the eagle eye of Major-General Victor W. Odium, oflicer commanding the 2nd Division of the Canadian Active Service Force in England, also had something to do with the youth's return. The soldier's youth was noticed by Major-General Odium while ho was making an inspection of a Canadian hospital where Tolmie was confined through illness. A cheek revealed the boy was only 16, and ho received one hour's notice thai, he was to embark for Canada. Jle joined at 10.
