SYMPATHY APPRECIATED

Acknowledgment of greetings sent fiom the city toward the end of last year w:is received at a meeting of the City Council last night from the Lord Mayor of London. Sir George Wilkin- j son, and the Mayor of Kpsom and Kwell, Mr. C. .1. Shaw. In expressing thanks, Sir George Wilkinson said that the .courage of civilians in London was simply amazing and this was fortified I hv the knowledge of all that was felt ; for them in the Dominions. Returning greetings, '"especially to those who dwell in the Kpsom part" of Auckland. Mr. Shaw said that his fellow citizens were also strengthened by the knowledge of the Dominion's goodwill and co-operation.
