THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE DEMAND FOR INVESTMENTS Business was maintained at a steady volume on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Gilt-edged issues wore :fmn and War Loan (partlypaid) advanced 5s on sale at £79 los. Local body and commercial debentures also were in keen request. Values for New Zealand shares were steady, with Australian issues a shade firmer., All supplies, however, were scarce, buyers predominating in practically every section of the market.
