TAURANGA INTERESTS

A concert in aid of club funds attracted a large audience to tho Lyceum Club rooms. Mrs. A. W. Mouat, convener of the patriotic sewing circle, made the announcements, and presented sprays and posies to each performer. The Town Hall was filled to capacity when three plays, "It's Autumn Now," "The Dear Departed" and "Wedding March,' 1 were presented by the "mummers'' in aid of the air raid appeal fund. Musical items interspersed the plays and the fund should benefit substantially. Mrs. Tynan Woollnms, Selwyn Street, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. Owen Winstone. of Takapuna, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Lamport.
